I grew up in a small central-Kansas farm town in the '60s; hot rods were the most exciting thing there. As a kid I spent all my lawn-mowing money on model cars and hot rod magazines. An older local guy had an immaculate '40 Ford coupe - bright orange, Corvette engine, Astro wheels. I loved that coupe and was always looking aound town to see if the car was out so I could another look.
Four days after turning 16 I bought a used '65 GTO: I worked every day after school & weekends to pay for it.
I'm still a car fanatic today, mostly traditional hot rods, muscle cars, old trucks, customs, and Harleys.
UPDATE: After living & working in the Denver area for 47 years, I retired four years ago and this past fall my wife and I left Colorado and moved to Mayfield, KY. So now DenverFlash lives in Kentucky!
