Non-Hamb related. Post 65 Street Machines is the way to go...But Please, don't jump on the band wagon if/when (And it will come back). We do not need any posers leaching on.

I do not know where I should start. I have no clue how I got into cars. My dad has never been a car guy. But I always had a good supply of Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Majorette, and all the other 1/64th cars back in the day to plant the seed. I also clearly remember the early/mid 70's and seeing that "old car" in my grandparents garage on the south side of Chicago every now and then. Turns out it was my Uncles 40 Ford Sedan Delivery he bought in 72 (I was born in 71). I remember the look and the smell of that old car and loved it. And yes he still has that delivery. But I also remember the cars roaming the streets of Chicago in the 70's. Not too many as what we would call "traditional" hot rods running around. It was musclecars. Jacked-up, shackled beasts, side pipes, and what always seemed to be Cragars, Keystones or slots encassed in big fat shoes with big white letters....YES...I still love musclecars....but kind of like traditional hot rods, I like the traditional look of musclecars...the stuff you would once see prowl the streets. Before people worried about over-restoring them and trailering them to shows.
So flip through a car magazine from 48-79 (specifically 64-74) and chances are that is the look I like (aside from a few horrible examples of bad taste).
