Howdy folks, i guess my love for photography and old cars came together some years ago and now i am neck deep in it. I am working on a 31 widebed that I picked up from a dude that was gonna chop her all up. I am thinking of a mild drivable banger with overdrive, shortened bed and floating fenders. Wait and see, but most of my car money goes to buying film for my photography about cars. Heres a blurb on that:

Vintage Gear for your Vintage Year.

Chrome & Light specializes in Kustom Car Photography as well as images I like to call Vignettes. My focus for my custom car photography is to feature the cars as the art that we all know they are. Modern photography and the magazines of our time have lost the art. I wanted to find a way to pair up my love for traditional photography with my love of Hot Rods and Retro lifestyle. I shoot primarily vintage 50's equipment, but have had to find a way to marry the old with the new. I shoot large and medium format and then High res scan them and work them to look as traditional as possible in a digital media. My still life work portrays captured moments in time as seen through my eyes and captured using my vintage 50's equipment.

There is a romance to a image that is lost in modern digital photography. This is why I use cameras from the past. I wish to preserve vintage optical photography through my work. The vintage cameras I use bring back a look that made me fall in love with photography in the first place. I have worked in the industry for over 27 years and I specialize in Black and White, but have recenty added a little color to my world. Some of these cars demand being seen in color. I hope to produce a book of my work for 2010. A simple book of few words and many pictues that bring you back to that moment that made you fall in love with Kustoms and Hot Rods of every kind.

All photos are reasonalby priced and I am always up for a shoot. Contact me if you are interested in having your car photographed in a true vintage style. [email protected]
