I'm a drag racer from Northeast Florida. I've always loved hotrods weather they be bikes, cars or 4x4s. I've never really had the chance to work with any prewar iron, but there is a first time for everything. First car I ever tore into was my pops 59 vette. Rather than do a snobby NCRS restoration, we broke out the sawzall and fiberglass and went to customizing. We shoved a 500 horse small block, Muncie M-20 and a ford 9-inch in her and then proceeded to melt the tires off of her. A friend of ours painted her in our back yard and the paint job still stands today. My first car was a 67 camaro that I got a year before I turned 16. I still have her and currently working on her 5th engine, a 8-71 blown big block, the engine I have always wanted to put in her. My father and I bracket race two tube chassis camaros that run in the 8’s. We haven’t been able to race the past few years due to an illness in the family and now this lovely economy. I’m working on a 65 nova, A/FX style to run on the weekends to suffice my racing urge until we can get back into the fast cars. That pretty much sums me up, I hope to get some pics of soon.
