I was brought up in what used to be considered a completely traditional, "typical" family in the suburbs. As a kid my mom used to drag me and my brother to every garage sale she would pass and I think this lead me to an early appreciation for the value of older, discarded things.
My love for cars has been present as long as I can remember. Growing up a co-worker of my dad's had (what was then) a brand new black Trans Am complete with the flaming phoenix on the hood- I thought that was about the coolest thing I'd ever seen up to that point and a love for cars was born. As a kid I used to love building model kits of my favorite cars and also spent numerous hours drawing my dream cars while lying on the floor keeping myself entertained.
I guess things haven't changed much since then. It's now 30 years later and instead of models I'm building real cars out in the garage. I still love to love to draw, photograph and paint old cars also.Interact
