My father was an aerospace eng. who street raced in the 40's & 50's all over So Cal. in a hot center steer Model A high boy with an injected Cadillac backed up by a LaSalle trans and a Champ Big car Q/C with Ford 3/4-ton floating axles. So I was tearing a part stuff pretty early. I received my eng degree and went on to build and pilot NHRA P/SB (Pro/Stock Motorcycles) then a stint with BAE during his TA/FC championship years, next onto a subsidary of the Honda McLaren F-1 teams and most recently I was the National Race Director for Microsofts' X Box Cup Racing Series, the NOPI/NDRA series. I am an ASE certified triple Master Tech and a GM Goodwrench and Ford certified Senior Master Tech. I am a contributing writer and associate editor to the the Society of Land Speed Historians; where I specialize in the pre-war dry lakes era. I also am the historian of record for the old Idlers, REVS and Hollywood Throttlers car clubs.
