I am not a hot rod builder or owner (right now, anyway!), but I have been a car nut for many years. I build model race cars....almost exclusively 30s to 70s, vintage drag, jalopies, modifieds and other short track types and have been a fan of drag racing and short track racing, among other forms, since the early sixties. My first introduction to fast cars was watching jalopy racing on TV from Gardena in the 50s. I just can't get enough of vintage race cars.
