    hambster under construction
I have 37 Chev Truck,48 Austin Truck, 51 Ford Truck Cab,58 Bedford Truck,60 Austin Truck,66 Dodge Pick Up and a 72 Dodge 400 Flat Top 318 powered. All of these are in need of a complete rebuild, rod or restore,
    Joining AHRA soon
I am about to turn 57. I became interested in rodding around 1965 through American Hot Rod magazine, Australian Hot Rodding Review and other publications. As 15 year olds we would hitch hike 20 miles to Calder Dragway (1968) In the 70s I moved to NSW, making for a 100 mile drive to Castlereagh Dragstrip. I was on the commitee of the Hunter Valley Drag Racing Association in 76 +77. I never competed personally.
I attended many rod shows over the years. My son recently purchased an A/MD R.E.D 360 Chrysler which crew on. (Or get in the way) The Hambster I am about to start on is based on a 3"x2" Suzuki 4x4 Chassis, 35 Front axle &wires, Hi-Lux diff, 30 Ford? rear section, hand built cowl & a choice of slant six (66 Dodge & 4 speed), Chev 6 (37 Chev) or Austin six (48 Austin. As we live in Central NSW, our closest strip is 220klms (150/160 miles) away.
