I grew up in Conn. and had 2 older gearhead cousins. Used to read their Hot Rod, Honk etc. when I visited. Got hooked on circle track racing at the Danbury Racearena in Danbury Conn and watching the Jalopy Races from Culver Stadium on TV. Mom bought me a Saunders friction stock car and that put me pretty much over the top. Kinda messed around with the Highway Pioneers jalopy racer and cereal box hot rods and midgets till AMT came out with the Trophy Series, especially the 40 Ford Coupe. After marriage, kids etc. I got back to modeling in 82. Met Sam Miller who lived here in Charlottesville, and he showed me the ropes as far as resin casting went. I've been at it ever since.
