Retired navy , part time horse rancher. In the mid 50's my army-officer dad was the neighborhood gearhead, and I caught it early. My first car was a fenderless '26 chev with orig radio, followed by a '48 Fleetmaster. In HS I bought a new 65 Mustang but only kept it a couple years before getting bit by the English car bug. I had an early Austin Mini Cooper S, then a 58 MGA with an aluminum Daimler SP250 dart V8, an a couple MGBs before finding Hot Rods... a '50 Ford Tudor with tricked-out flattie built in '54, a '32 Chev coupe with a 40's Stovebolt, a Stude Golden Hawk with 390 Ford, a 54 Ford Pickup with a 428 CJ 4 speed, a 71 Comet GT with a Boss 351, a cherry 64 Olds red/white ragtop. Over the years I've built about a dozen MGs from '50 to '80 including a few MGBs with 5.0 Ford power and one with a 215 Olds. Among others long forgotten are many grocery getters, beaters, and a dozen or so bikes. In 89 I bought an '87 Mustang GT and in 2008 set it up for ECTA D/FALT but can't make more than one pass before something breaks. In '09 I built a scary-quick 500cc Honda powered shifter kart that I keep promising myself to bring to Maxton.
