Got into old cars as a kid hanging out and working at the family's Texaco station. Dad was more into restoration and original cars, owning quite a collection over the years, but my tastes were more into going fast and Hot Rods.
I pumped gas, changed tires, cleaned rest rooms and changed oil, working my way through high school and learned a lot about life and how things work.
Started reading Street Rodder and Hot Rod etc. when i was prob in grade school and dreamed of what I wanted to build someday. I always seemed to like the basic old early style of hot rod. Just seemed simple and right-nothing over complicated or flashy.
Started doing body work at 15 and opened a body shop a few years later... Too many years gone by too fast now but still hooked!
