I was born this way. I loved machines as early as 2 years old (mom tells a story about me babbling to and hugging a front-end loader at that age). Dad is a Mustang nut, uncle was an old drag racer and a career-long Cummins diesel mechanic, cousin was a roundy-round and back-road sheriff racer (he was the chased - usually). I had support in the shop. Went to (then GMI - formerly General Motors Institue of Engineering and Management) Kettering University in Flint, MI right out of high school. Burned out, came home, got married with all that entails (job, mortgage, kids).

Proud of my kid brother who finished his BSME at TX Tech and now is an Assoc. Design Engineer for Peterbuilt in Denton, TX. We all have always been motor heads.

All in all, I'm not as much a maestro but more of a lounge act...
