Helped Dad work on cars as a kid. Friends with older brothers in the '60s started my interest. American Graffiti cemented it. Built a '55 chevy 210 Handyman in high school with a 235" I-6 and 4 speed. Raced drags with it. Joined Marine Corps and wound up in California in the '80s. Raced at El Mirage, and Bonneville as a member of the Eliminators. Built Studebaker pickup based on the cars I was seeing at the land speed races, while in Calif. Moved to Detroit, worked for Ford. Left Ford to live in TN with my Stude. Gathering parts to build a roadster with Olds Quad-4 motor & 5-speed, in traditional style.Interact
