Raised in Oklahoma. Part of the family trecked to California in the 1940's while my branch of the tree stayed here. Graduated highschool and on to college for a Bachelors and later Masters degree. I remember only a few "hot rods" in our pathetic little town back then. My pal across the street had an older brother who brought home the "little magazines" and of course Hot Rod. Not even old enough to drive and drooling over those cars that always seemed to come from the left or right coast. The magazines taught us what was "cool". And my dad, a WWII pilot, liked cars and introduced me to tools and engines. That's kinda how it started. Oh happy days!
