Dad gave my older brother and I a 39 Dodge pickup and a 55 Dodge wagon (wrecked ) when I was 11 and brother was 13. we took the old REDRAM from the wagon and transplanted it into the pickup we had an open driveline rearend from a 3/4 ton of some sort , and with the Pidgeon poop looking welds on motor mounts , and the fabricated (lied to) driveline we went about 300 yards before it snapped , Dad repaired it , and we drove it over many small trees on the trip to and through Granite Creek in NW Montana, back in the early '70s
Before that I watched my other , much older brothers , with their Model A's , and Dad always had a Model T C cab TT that was always in the Logger Days Parade .
I always had a few extra bicycles , and cut the ends off forks , and slid them over the forks of the Sting ray I rode , and had a chopper , Only lost the front wheel a few times .
Came home from school in 1968 and Dad had hung an old license plate on the corner post of the lean to garage , reading , Joe's Garage , I was 8 at the time , the name stuck , and Frank Zappa took the title years later , But, that's OK , I'm just Happy trying to bring these old cars back to life , Thanx for being here , Joe Rooney
