Mechanic by trade,but hated only fixing things, so did machining at tech college at night (because making is far more rewarding) and after many years landed my present job which involves making object supports for various museums and galleries.
I have worked in car restoration,and got into hot rodding and custom cars by having a cool dad who would take me to shows when I was a young bloke.I do the same with my kids.
60's style custom motorcycles esp. triumphs are my real passion but my family likes to get around in old Holden cars,so now they are my other passion /curse.
