About
I grew up In a suburb of Montreal, on a busy street, & was always attracted to the loud & flashy cars that often drove by. I can remember a black '62 Impala convert, lowered in the rear, with loud duals & a pair of antennas off of the rear fenders. This guy would blast up & down the street driving all of the adults crazy. I just loved the sound. There was also a mid sixties Dodge pickup, blue, panel painted with Keystone wheels. Rumour had it that it had a Hemi. It was also loud & fast. Then there was the green '56 210 2dr with a white tuck & roll interior & a hot small block that often sat around the corner about a block away. It just looked too cool! There were plenty of others & I could go on forever.
Most of my friends had older brothers who were into cars & messed around with stuff like mid '40's Fords & Monarchs, '60's Chevelles, Chevy IIs, Biscaynes & such. As I got older & started to get out more, I would go to car shows & be introduced to hot rods. They were so cool.
Then at 14 years old I saw American Graffiti. I was hooked like a crack junkie.Interact
