Liking hot rods happened so early in my life that I can't pick the defining moment. My brother was the main culprit, sneaking dad's 28k mile unrestored '28 Chevy out for "excursions" and letting me drive it when I was only 8 or 9 years old. Mastered double-clutching a "crashbox" about the same time.
