Man I wish I could afford one of those AU Falcons... they are awesome. I have a '63 comet I'm working on getting on the road right now. Maybe one day I can make it to AU and see one of these in person.

Well, The Falcon made it`s maiden trip this morning . It`s the first time it has moved under it`s own power since`86. That`s when my buddy parked it . It drove out real nice. Now to put some miles on it before pulling down for a paint job.

The air shocks are coming off. But part of it is the rebuilt rear springs, I`m hoping they settle some with some miles on them.

The `60 is an old race car I changed into a gasser . It`s close to the one I raced in the early 70`s . It was always a blast to drive . The car is 351C powered into a C4 with a 4000 stall convertor & reverse manual valvebody into a 9" with 4.86`s. We are headed to the Hamb drags this weekend, hope to get the new 660 Holleys tuned. Pics of it laying or it aint true ;)
I really like the rear end work, i think you did a 4 link judgeing from what i can see, i'd like to see more o'that too.
It takes balls to do that to a unibody, not like a frame car. I did a similar job to my uni-Ford, and it was intense.
    really man, MORE PICS :)

Just found this thread. Now I have to go back and read all of it. Just bought a rolled 63 sprint convertible, and a burnt 63 convert parts car.

  15. Here's what you do with a Falcon that's to far gone to restore.

Nice work on getting that falcon down!

  21. The front fenders look like early Comet fenders, and the rear looks like early Fairlane.

Just lowered mine 2 more inches in the rear.

That makes it a total of a 3" drop in the front and a 5" drop in the rear...and my 15's with 2 1/4" white walls still fit very well!

Great shot of a handsome car!

What size tires are you running? Thinking about putting 15s on my wife's '61.

Yes I mounted up some Hankook 175/70/14s. It was a mission finding these Tru's. I got lucky with such a nice set.

The rear is pretty tight so I'm going to either roll the fender or shave it a bit for some extra clearance.
