This car is pretty bad ass looking. The grill looks good in this car and look at how low it is.

    Hi Rik !
First time I see this picture , and with the third type of hubcap . The -50 cad sombrero is the most common , the -53 Cad sombrero is seen on a few pictures but this one -53-55 Olds Fiesta , very neat shot , thanks for showing this picture Barry and Rik !!

Greg Palmer has shared some really great photos of his father Jim Palmers collection for my site.

A lot of photos from his collection have been copied over the years, and I have a couple of copies as well. But the quality of those copies is far worse than the originals. So it is really great to see some better scans of this great collection. Thanks to Greg Palmer for scanning.

    Here are a few.

And this wonderful very rare color photo of the Larry Ernst Chevy in its first Purple and lavender paint. According to Greg it was Larry Ernst who gave these photos to Tom Liechty, who was Larry's care taker before his death. And then the photo became part of Jim's collection.

Second version of the same Barris built Chevy.

    Rik,

In the second photo, I don't see the Barris crest. Do you know why it isn't there?

Its there... only not on the front fender.
Here is another scanned from a book photo that shows the location of the Barris crest a bit better.

Twochops Yes in that picture it is painted blue and silver later to be painted white and gold similar to 'Artic Sand" by Clarkaiser. On Riksters site re.Fuzzy F? archives there is a better picture on page12 "D12".

Rikster I was responding to a picture and a post by Twochops that has disapeared. The 47 Ford you posted was another Chatham Ontario car owned by a Bob Smith and still exists today only as a street rod.It was built by the same person who built the Merc. in post 1488. Thanks for posting the picture .

Rik, that pink Ford shoebox coupe--photo dated April '61--from Bill Usedom's collection is amazing.

Any more photos of that one?

    Thanks as always.
