The many hues of Dark Blues > post your favorite

There are way too many hues of dark blue... post some pics and of your favorite and what color it is.

here is one from me


my wife loves this one.

I like dark blues with shiny metal and red accents. ( you can tell by my avatar )

some may know, but others might not.. I was going to paint my truck
a green color in memory of my dads shop from the 60s "joes texaco" he had a green 61 f100.. mine is a 65..

well my dad tells me today he thought the green was " sick sailor green"
and that blue is what he would paint it... so now my wife, mother, and dad love this dark metallic blues...

eh and blue is my favorite color. but I never thought of it as a cool color on cars and trucks. Hoping you guys can prove me wrong.. and hopefully in a way that wont break the bank.

It's an OT car, but HOK Kandy Cobalt is my all time favorite blue.

 

'56 Dodge "Royal Blue Metallic"

 

A big Yes on the '56 Dodge blue color.
My closest friend back in high school days painted both his customized '58 Impalas (one coupe, one convertible) that color.

My other favorite is Wedgwood Blue, a 2000 Ford Taurus color with a bunch of metallic in it.
In low light it's practically black and in sunlight the metallic in it explodes.
My '53 Lincoln is shot in that color. Love it!

Washington Blue for me, must have been you following me for a couple of hours last Friday that started some subliminal thinking

 

i think this is one of hotrod flatz colours, my fav colour by far.

Sheridan Blue-- 1950-51 Ford Color. Very deep- almost black.

 

heres hok coblat over silver base and silver flake flames.

Love the suede dark blue.

 

saw a 50's pickup at a local show that had a stunning blue on it. Looked black until the light caught a curve, then it was definitely a blue/purple. the guy said it was a Pontiac color from the 60's (50% of me wants to say midnight blue but now i'm doubting that)

It looked black but fired up to look like the previously shown HOK Majestic Blue- almost like a pearl effect, except it was panel-wide.

 

I saw an S-10 at a show last weekend with an awsome blue. It was a black base with blue pearl over it. Looked black in all light except direct sunlight. The high spots where the sun shone were a brilliant sparkly blue.

tremclad, two parts dark blue and one part black,

 

My Roadster is Jaguar pacific Blue , lots of pearl , I dig it .
Blue Model A coupe looks cool too
