Parts Washers Again?

When I was a kid 50+ years ago my dad had a parts washer he made that was aerated from the compressor, adjustable air flow. I am not an engineer or designer can someone draw out a KISS drawing or a "how to do it" that I could fallow? I remember the set up did a great job cleaning parts BUT back than solvent and carb cleaner were just that, great cleaners! Thanks, Lon

what do you mean "aerated"

 

To buy all the required parts is WAAAYYYY more expensive than just buying one. I'm planning to get one of the cheapy Harbor Freight (I know, I know) ones for about $99. That or find a used one on Craigslist.

 

Maybe I spellled it wrong! Airiated? You take air from your compressor, introduce it in the bottom of your parts washer and let the bubbles do the scrubbing............. with some sort of adjustment............

 

That's a method I haven't heard of. I'd like to see that system myself.

 

Thanks vickyhemi, gave me an idea! Think I will take an old A/C condenser and plum it to the bottom of my parts cleaner cabnet with a simple hand valve. I find the cleaners of today are not very strong and do a shitty job, maybe the scrubbing bubbles will help, can't hurt! Thanks

 

Your welcome! I had one of those and they do pretty good.
I ran "no stink" mineral spirits and the bubbles.

Threads here on the hamb on both of these.
The "Good Cleaners" are available but they are dangerous!!!!!
Ulta-Sonic cleaners like the dentist uses are really good too (but pricy)
