Got primer on it just in time for Piero and the MFS monsters to show up a few weeks ago. heres a few pics
very cool. I remember seeing this on one of the Mad Fab videos. Did you ever find the oddball rear window?
Yes I did, I sawzalled it out of a Borgward in a small junk yard in wisc. while trying not to get stung by millions of bees!!
This is sooooo cool!!! Thanks for sharing your passion for these way out show cars with us. What are your plans for the "Trendero"??
It was actually large block logo 2 1/16 gauges for my outlaw clone....yes its safe, I thought that was you I was bidding against on some of those, sorry
Mr. Moriarity, I remember building a model of it years ago with the rubber band turn table and all. It's fun watching you bring stuff back to life! It's going to look great.
Thanks, It is both fun and a lot of work at the same time. they changed a lot more things to make the car into the tiger shark than what I originally thought.
Glad to see you've still got your hands in things, Mark.... Are you going to be in Detroit this year?
I am really going to have it made when I build a "plowboy style" car, but I dont think I am smart enough
This whole time I thought I was building "Moriarity style" cars. I guess I didn't get the memo. Ha Ha Ha
OK... I'll say it! Notice I used one of those high quality stainless RULERS, not one of those hokey wooden ones that the teacher used to belt us with. So is this how it will look eventually?
yes thats it, still have a fair amount of things to fabricate yet, the headlight pod, headrests, side trim and nerf bars and the rectangular steering wheel to name a few.....
A few...??? How does one fabricate a rectangular steering wheel precisely? Serious question, as I've read that people cut down factory steering wheels. How do you rebuild the outer casing?
Wow, Mark your making a lot of progress!!! I'll show this to rob tonight when he gets home. Looking forward to seeing both marks at autorama
Dare I ask?...... what's a Borgward? Somewhere in my mess of a magazine collection I have the one with the dream rod on the cover. Could you give us a brief history lesson on it? My recollection is fuzzy. Very cool collection you're putting together.
