How much does a typical flathead V8 weigh???

I've seen a few charts showing how much most 'modern' OHV automotive mills weigh...but does anyone have any idea as to what a typical early or late Ford flathead V8 weighs complete???

They seem like they might be quite hefty...but are they really???

 

I think 650# with standard 3-speed tranny.

 

525 with no trans.

 

You can subtract a couple of pounds if it's a CANADIAN flathead; with aluminum heads, aluminum cam gear cover and an aluminum intake. (the stock ones)

 

Thanks guys...I was kinda curious to see how they compared to a small block Ford in weight...looks like they fall closer to SBC heft!!

 

I think they were heavy enough to use all of these in anchoring the Titanic before its maiden voyage.
