I'd buy it. Sounds like it would pick up where all of the "Hot Rod History" books leave off. I think alot of folks would find it interesting to see that this stuff still gets built and driven and raced. And what goes into doing all of that. It would also show the "non-car" world that there are still proud craftsmen making customized cars. Most of the "non-car" world sees the stuff on SpeedChannel and TNN and in Fast and Furious and thinks that that is the only option for Car Guys. There are alot of parts of the world, and this country, with no car culture, so people fall into the wrong car crowd because they don't know all of their options.
Your description sounds like it could easily become the next "must have" for Hot Rodding.

germ, if there's one thing i reckon you could do well, it's write book, and you know i don't like most of your posts!

anyway, in terms of books, i think they're like websites... it's the CONTENT that keeps you there, not the flashy fucking pictures or sweet layout. without some good, interesting stories, a collection of fantastic hot rod pictures will never really "come to life", as they do with some good commentary.

i guess my point is, it doesn't COST anything to write your stories. start today! start writing! choose a couple of people on the HAMB who write clearly in their posts and have good things to say and ask them to edit it... if the CONTENT is good you shouldn't HAVE to pay to have it published. good content publishes itself.
