Cal Plates

Doing a set of 32 Cali plates for garage art. Got them in primer. What were the orig colors. Goldish yellow w/black lettering ? Also for you left coast drag racing guys, I heard that Mel Bryson ( an old aquaintance ) A/Gas Willys, had a heart attack and is getting out as his son's not going to drive.

looks like bluebird school bus yellow to me

It's the color of California Poppy pollen, Goldenrod.

Thanx guys. Called a friend at the Peeaaalluuupp swap and he got me a rattle can of Seymore (sp) school bus yellow for a buck fifty. Very close match. Looks good
