Sure can tell that it took alot of work to clean up the classifieds..but..
it's now got the feel of shopping in speedway motors instead of you're buddies garage. I love this place because of the grease. I like to look under the bench and into the rafters. I might have something you want that I haven't thought about in twenty years sitting under a pile of parts but I'm interested in getting my build done so I'm hanging out on the "4-sale" department, I don't go into the "wanted" much so I don't know you need that part that I have and would sell to you to help you out if I knew you needed it. If I am able to see what you need while I'm looking for my own stuff it's easier to help each other out.
I appreciate your efforts to try to improve the system but with the 4-sale/wanted seperated I think the original purpose of the board is much less effective.
Ok that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. I know....I'll probably be a FNG by tomorrow.....

We are testing the current setup for a while. If we see the need to allow replies back into the system, we certainly will do so... That said, I don't see us integrating wated ads back into the for sale ads...

If you miss the simplicity, check out dragbike.com's forum. There are so many categories the same topic gets brought up several times, with varied responses. I can never find what I want, and its sooosoooo slooowww.
Then an extra classified section is not that big a deal.

I'm in total agreement with Terry O.

The analogy I can think of the old classifieds vs. new classifieds is that it used to be fun rifling thru someone's garage/attic. Now it's more like staring at a hospital operating room ran by a Communist Felix Unger....everything is neat and clean and in it's place and no one can say anything about it.

I think you still need to be able to post replies on the item. I know the BTTT's and the "I wish I was closer" comments are old. But they don't bug you if you don't pay any attention to them....

My 2 cents... I will take the Hamb any way I can get it (and be happy with it), however I too liked the wanted and FS being together. The chances of me even going into the wanted is very rare in the long run, but I know I have PM'ed people in the past who I had seen wanted something that I had and offered it to them... Dont think I would have come across those people in the current system.
I always liked that the for sale stuff had replys... that way you see it is first come first serve. I know that a number of things will now go to "buddies" and more established hambers, instead of first come first serve since communications are now sealed. Maybe that is how it is supposed to be?
Not complaints, just things to think about. Like I said, Ryan has done a great job and I am sure we will all enjoy this place in whatever format the honchos choose.
