Ok here is my plan in the form of a quick sketch I drew up today...
here are the plans (if I ever have the $$ and can find the parts):
-Chopped Top
-1946 Chevy grille with front part of the front fenders attached to the 41 rear front fenders.
-Hopped Up Chevy Inline 6.
-Misc. Caddy parts (hubcaps, steering wheel, etc.)
-Desoto style bumpers
-Bubble Skirts
-Air Suspension
....The list goes on....
Tell me what you think..(both idea wise and art wise)

Cool idea great drawing, but I am not a fan of bags, set it where you want it and drive.I drive a 48 coupe daily but would like to get a fleetline and do basically what you just drew up....Danny

Very nice drawing!
Interesting concept.
My first thhought was... Why not just start with a 46?
But, I dig the front end with the shorter front fenders. Never did like the split front fenders.

the reason i wouldn't start with a 46 is because i already have a 41...and i agree with you on the split fenders

Fat is where it's AT!!! I think the design looks smooth, and early custom semi-sinister. Artwork...nice shadowing and detail! Proportions look kind of like the taildragger answer to MUSCLE MACHINE's jacked-up look...belongs on a shirt that belongs in my wardrobe!

Just sold my 41, the grill was one of the things I liked best, had a 46, liked the grill, hated the fender extensions take alot of time figuring your chop, sometimes they look really good, but with the tall body, the proportions go all out of wack. Good luck with your project....Scott

Also, IMHO, a nice big pie cut out of the hood helps alot...Scott

40,
that 46 is a dead ringer for Henry DelRey's ride in Pasadena 1957

Why don't you 2 just trade cars, 41 for the 46, instead of the grills only?
Just thought I'd ask....

I also sectioned it through the hood and body....but they really need it if you chop the top.

I like!
What color??? Maroon would be very trad & consistent with the overall theme. Maybe add some pearl to bring out all those big round curves http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Nice Aero! I dig the way the lake pipes follow the body, with that bend at the end of the front fender, that's a way cool detail.

Nice drawing! I like the grill switch idea. I'm curious what a 41 grill would look like in a 46 chevy. Or do you mean your Ford, Mr Gasser?
