What I need is a finned valley cover, not coming up with anything. Cast timing cover also. Found them for Olds and Buick, but nada for the Poncho. Thanks.

MQQN? Maybe Dale Wilch from K.C. or e-bay..I'd like to find a nice pair of valve covers too.

Got the VC's off ebay. Patience will get you a low price, I passed on a few sets.

There is a guy on there repoping the Olds Buick stuff. While I have the engine out I'd really like to get the parts and paint completed. The nice thing about these Poncho's is the topend. Painless intake trades. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You think a poncho's easy to swap intakes on and off, try a nailhead. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

As far as finned stuff, have you tried Marcus, or Charlie Price at Vintage Speed?

When I saw the title I thought for sure you'd be talkin about the 10 bolt aluminum brake drums... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

If you find a source, it'd be great if you posted it.

Me too if you find a source. I can't say that I've ever actually seen any, but I bet they are out there.

How about O'Brien Truckers? Can't remember his HAMB name..outstanding parts and reputation.

As far as I know, Moon is the only one that ever made a finned aluminum valley cover for the Poncho. When I asked Chico (who sells a lot of my stuff but makes his own valley covers) why he took it out of his catalog he said he was having too much trouble with them. Not sure what the trouble was but since it's a pretty complicated design as far as VC's go, I bet it was a warping problem. So I guess the only one's you'll find will be on the used market.
