That car belongs to Dave Burk. He was a big help on my car. He lives nearby. Do you have any specific ?s Here is a pic...

I shot the photos for that book. When they were compiling it I made it a point that they had to include that car.
Before I met Dave I had little interest in hot rods. Even though I still don't consider myself a rod guy, that car is so over the top that it made me learn alot more about stuff that I hadn't thought of before.
Burk is a kickass builder and really good guy.

Wow. I'd like to know anything about that motor. From the pics I see the obvious:
Flathead
Latham (spelling?) Supercharger
Insane looking amount of overdrive.
One off heads... or at least head covers. (still has 3 exhaust ports)
Funky motor mounts.

Insane overdrive is normal Latham...very high RPM blower. I've got an old installation story on the thing, and pulley was a major installation hassle on a late model! Everything had to be perfectly aligned, if anything was off by a gnat's eyelash belt would be shucked off immediately.

He's got (or at least built) a wicked coupe sister car too.

If I remember correctly, he fabbed all the one-off stuff himself... blower pulley, brake backing plates, and even the heads.
I'll look around and see if I can find the info sheet I had him fill out when I photographed the car.
I think I have some B&W shots of his coupe somewhere too. That car is a little more conventional than the roadster.

I know that car I've seen that in person several times at the car show in my hometown. As cool as it looks in pics it's even better in person.
