I've been working on carving a skull out of wax so that I can cast it in sterling silver and use it as a shift knob.
my tech is a .PDF file. HERE (http://www.webbed-toe.com/acrobat/Shift%20Knob%20Tech.pdf)
it's a work in progress but I thought i would share. Last week there was a post about finding some plastic brass knuckles to cast as a shifter.
here is a bad picture of my skull so far. http://www.webbed-toe.com/images/skull/skull%20details2.jpg I plan to carve some crossbones to go with it. If you are intersted and want more info added to the .PDF tech let me know and i will update it. I haven't gone into any detail about how to carve, or the casting process but i can. when i finish and get it cast i'll post a finished product - kyle

Here's a skull I bought over in the Philippines. It'smade from ebony, weighs about 15 pounds and stands 8 inches tall, so it's a bit big to use as a shifter knob. I thought I may stick it somewhere in the dash/interior area. I think it's way cool http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is cool! I saw it in person last Friday, tried to get Kyle to build in lights in the eye sockets, connected to the tach, so the eyes would flash @ say 6500 RPM? Tell him when it's time to shift that Muncie he scored from me.
Wait a minute, Kyle worked on my teeth about 5 yrs ago.....those sorta look like mine...if you sell these you owe me a percentage for modeling!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
