32 Ford pick-up windsheild frame Question.need help

I have a window frame that is in good condition,except the
hinge along the top is stuck.Anyone ever have this problem?
Im thinking of cutting off the hinge and tacking on a new one.Could use some inpute.

sounds like there is no glass in it. I'd try the old torch trick. Heat the hinge and work it with a crescent wrench to free it up inch by inch. The hinge is just 2 interlocking curls of metal. When you get it free you can drive the flange out of the other half by hitting it on the end. I was able to get mine freed up.

Dude trust me get some PB Blaster and spray it down let it set and it will free it up.May take some light working with pliers if it is real bad but it will start working.Then if that dont work...bottle torch time http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
