I work mainly in pastels (on paper anyway!!) . The first one is the Spalding bros 25 T (it ran a stovebolt 6) in Pheonix in 1950, the 2nd is Ed Iskenderan in his T (that's a 25 as well I think). May also have some prints done if the feedback is positive enough...

I'm thinking that has to be your best one yet (of what I've seen anyway) and that's saying alot, 'cause you sir are the master!

p.s. who cares what time it is - the Friday Art Show should be all week long.

Man, my head is spinning now that I have a guy eating a sandwich in New Zealand, and some folks in the UK with their bedcaps on. Ha ha. I guess that makes it O'Beer thirty here in the MidWest.

Janne, I like the car. the indication on the background makes it look like it's near trees. Not sure about the car leaning back. I like that style car more level, but that's me. I like the rest of the drawing quite a bit. Very Nice. It has some similarity to the Mantranga Merc.

Thanks also for the compliment on the website. I do have about four other pages to post. It's been a steep learning curve getting all of the images organized and online. Most of them are pen sketches, but the main image for the Art page was just published in the April Rod and Custom, page 12. Check it out, it's my friend's dad's car. The image was all done in Photoshop.

Hmmm, Thursday nights in Cary, IL. mean "Friday Art Show"!!!!!:D

Here's a little 1Shot action! 2ftx4ft metal shelf painted black basecoat/clear coat. It's a 'lil "not so secret" tribute panel to some local Detroit toughs.

The pic quality sucks a little but you guys get the idea.:D

Next is a scrap piece of 1/2 inch tinted lexan. It's 3 ft long. Just a little excercise to keep the chops up.

danm, friday comes extra early round here!

soooo... i know this isnt "car/hotrod related" butttttt i figure given the context of lowbrow art, plus the fact that i'm geeked to have just finished this, i think its alright to post it in here...

i just finished this this little guy, he stands about 6" tall and he's got a white led wired into his head(and a switch hidden under his foot) so his mouth/eyes can glow at night. enjoy!:D

Here's a couple of panels I recently did. I did both of these for people that wanted them for Christmas gifts.

I am working on another, with a little dancing tiki dude, but I left it at the shop this afternoon when I left, so I didn't get to finish it up tonight.

The last two pictures are of my dad's '47 Hudson pickup. He's a crazy old hippie, and wanted the wizard with "Magic Bus" on the tailgate. Magic pertaining to the wizard, and Bus pertaining to the school bus yellow color of the truck. LOL, damn crazy old hippie's !! :D

EDIT: I don't know why, but the color of the wizard doesn't come out near as well in the pictures as it does in person. It may be the program I used to donwsize the pictures.... Ah well, you get the point. ;)

Wow. Friday is here already, well, almost. The art posts have got to be some of my favorite threads. Here's just a few photoshops I did to pass the time. I'm still a little rusty, but their somethin' to look at:

A 1950 chevy. Was a family friends, who, comin back from town a little buzzed back in the late fifties, rolled it a couple times.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/1.jpg (http://photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/?)

And photoshopped to bring it back to life, sort of:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/2.jpg (http://photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/?)

This here is my great-great gandma's International ranch truck:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/9991.jpg (http://photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/?)

And as my shop truck someday?:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/9993.jpg (http://photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/?)

Okay, almost done, just a couple more:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/5.jpg (http://photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/?)

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/665.jpg (http://photobucket.com/albums/y150/shadowmtkustomz/Photoshop/?)

Air brushing is so difficult when you have an audience!!!
as with most things ever tried fixing your rod in the street in the middle of town......you always miss the obvious and end up looking like a jerk!!

Anyway belly pan for a BMW with a Union Jack on....the pics are not
complementary!! I did what the guy wanted and it looked like a few lines and block colours so I re did it to (try) to look like 2 bits of cloth (red and blue) flapping on a white background.....well he liked it!!
I really must do more coz I like the effects you can get and want a go at monstershirts..

Hey Bumpstick...

Keep your eyes peeled for a Program called Bryce. It's only a couple hundred bucks (which is alot - but is much cheaper than the 2 to 4 thousand you'll spend on Maya or 3D Studio Max).

It is easy to play with and if you network (make some internet buddies) you can get a lot of free models to tweek on.

I have AutoCAD at home - so I make all my models in there and export them as a .3ds file to Bryce5 and render them in there.

That's how I get images like this....(it was my first ever attempt at rendering - years before I got my CAD degree - just playing with shapes and texture/light).
