Hey all- been lurkin for awhile, thought it was time to jump into the fray. I'm a young'un, not old enough to remember the good ol daze, but I am diggin' the vibe here. My junkpile currently consists of a 65 GTO (455/th400/9-inch; a respectable 12-second streeter), and a 63F100 stepside, (Offy tri-carbed 223 6-banger/three on the tree) old-timey (rusty) beater/hotrod/shop truck. My aspiration is to find and/or clone my high school 47 chebbie coupe, (and do it right this time)- and you'd better believe it'll have a wicked inliner.
I work for a local Rod and Custom shop here in southeastern PA, (more on that later- when the website is done I'll post a link) we lean heavily towards traditional rods, and we are a So-Cal affiliate, so I have some insight into the "Big Business/versus/ Mom-and-Pop" arguement which springs up here from time to time.
Lookin forward to makin some friends here, (and possibly some enemies-LOL.) Really enjoy the "hotrod stories" , "dumb things non-car people say", and "cute dune buggy"-type posts- remember this is supposed to be fun, even if (and especially if) the general public doesnt get it. Later- sneakypete
