fancypants.... there has been mucho progress on the 35 truck, it is coming along very nicely..... but the willys is just sittin there waiting...... MOMMA says I cant work on the willys till the 35 chevy's done.... and the 35 has lots of work left to go........ Having to SHOVEL MY STUPID BIG ASSED driveway everyday ain't helping either.......LUKESTER.....

Not all the Willys had Hemis or SBCs. Ed Binggeli's F/Gas '41 was motivated by one of his wonderful 286-cid carbureted flatheads. Essentially unbeatable in its class in the late '50s, early '60s, it would work its way up through the Little Eliminatore ranks on Sunday afternoons. Racing heads-up against other gas-class winners, it was common for the little yellow car to knock off E, D, and C class gassers. On occasion the top dog in B/Gas would find himself in the losing lane.

Here's a scan of a picture in a HRM feature on the car in Novemeber 1962.
