It's the 13-15th market hall $12 admission. The graffiti '32 and '55 cars will be there, and I guess a crapload of hondas UGH http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif and hopefully some other stuff. I'm thinking of going on saturday. If anyone else will be there maybe we can get together and grab lunch or something.

Goin on Sunday. I expect it to not be at all worth the $12 and gas money to get there, but I've been every year since I was 8 so with the hell?

REVERENDZ should be in town showing a car there.
Merc50 will probably be there, without the Merc in the
show this year.

Send the Rev a PM so you can offer some Texas hospitality.

I will be at the Starbird show in Tulsa that weekend, sorry.

I got trick fucked into taking my wife out friday night, so maybe she'll do this for me Saturday.

Hey Eric, who you goin' with?

Anderson

I dunno...my girlfriend will be going with me if she doesn't work. I'd go Saturday, but i gotta WORK (finally, I have a fucking job! -Jiffy Lube - ).

REVEREND JAKE

We'll be setting up on Wednesday of that week and detailing until the doors open on Friday. We'll be the one with the teal and flamed T-bucket on a turntable. It's a nice car, but not HAMB style. This show is part of the ISCA show circuit, so I know what caliber most of the cars will be. Mostly old people cars and out dated designs, but there will be a few cool ones. I hope some local rat and kustom rods will be there.

FLT-BLK sold me out for Monkey and Whiskey, but I would have too. Starbird will be more fun, but I'm going to be at Dallas for sure.

Be sure to give me a shout if you go to the show. I'll be there all weekend.

PM me if you want,

Reverend Jake

looks like you can save 2 bucks if you buy a ticket at the O'Reilly's...you can put those 2 dollars towards the 5 dollar hot dog! Nice!

I resemble that remark kartbreaker!!! It sure does suck to get paid to detail a show car all weekend. For the right amount of money I'll be anything you want.

At least you guys in Dallas get a discount. When they sell tix in Tulsa for Starbird's show at O'reilly's there is NO discount. You merely buy your tix early, and it doesn't get you in faster because you have to exchange your receipt for a ticket. What kind of dumbass shit is that?!?

See ya there,

Hmm well looks like I'm not gonna be able to make it. I got one car leaking gas all over the muffler and this car has no axle seal on one side now...well that and it's completely illegal. My ride that was comming from Ft. Worth decided it was too much for him to drive here...wuss. Anyway maybe I go sunday..

Who's shoebox is that? It looks familiar, I think I guy that came to look at my '56 cad a long time ago had a picture of that car.

What the hell is all this white stuff?

Cool Display guys. It's a winner as far as I'm concerned.

Did you happen to meet a tatooed kid that works for the show named Race? I'm sure you would remember him http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

He said the burn out contest was out of control. any pics of that.

Elrod
02-16-2004, 10:25 AM
Yeah Elrust-o.... MarkX, Flt-Blk, Merc50 and I had just walked off from talking to that guy who was detailing the Ardun roadster when you must have taken that picture.

I need to get a freakin' HAMB tattoo on my forehead or something....

hankcash

Other than the Chups cars and about 3-4 other cool cars in the show.... it was a Vette-Mustang-Viper bolt on show!
I think that this might be the last time I give my hard earned $12 to see a bunch of cars that I can see for free by stopping by a Ford or Chevrolet dealership....
WTF?
It gets worse every year. Some of the trucks were so awful that I almost shat myself.
I have been going to this show since I was knee high to a grasshopper and I remember more customs in years past than were there this year and the past 2-3 years...
I think that next year we should organize a HAMB car show out in the parking lot durring the Autorama!
Maybe I am getting old and grumpy...

HC

Hey roadstar, I met Race for the first time at the show on
Sunday.

Me Wiskey and Jessica (The newest Devil Bunny) busted ass back from the Starbird show in Tulsa so she could see Race
in Dallas.

The Chupacabra display ruled, BoomBoom took home a trophy
with the orange and green seaweed flamed shoebox.

Hey HC, It was good to finally meet you and a few other Coollows. I gotta agree with ya on the state of the AutoTrauma. Man its just not the same. I have my suspicions that theres a little political good ol boy faction kreepin in. On the other hand its somthing I always wanted to do even if it was kind of a let down. It was cool gettin an award, (Scotts bucket got one also) but I was really disappointed that they picked the Mustank club for best club display. We put a lot of time and effort putting together a display we thought was pretty cool only to get beat by eight stock mustangs with a Banner! Oh well, the Roundup is only a month away and Pistons and Paint will be at the end of summer. (Stay tuned for the PnP location)
Johnny Ill make ya deal on them shirts ;-) Thanks to all who liked the display. You know I actually had guys older than me ask me who Roth was. At the Frickin Autorama!

Congratulations on the award Boomboom. Ironically I came across a message board for the mustang club when I was looking for autorama info last week. I saw what they were bringing and well it wasn't very impressive. I think the Chups display is much more deserving of the award. So, was it you Boomboom that came to look at a grey primered '56 caddy 4dr in richardson about 3 years ago? Some guy that came and test drove it had a pic of a car alot like yours.

BoomBoom
02-17-2004, 12:05 AM
Hey Revhead, Thanks for the congrats! The club worked pretty hard to come up with somthing different for a display so it means alot to know it was apprceiated. Nope werent me that looked at the Caddy, I might have it instead of my shoebox if I had! I had a 49 sedan at that time that I traded to get my 50. The picture you were shown back then was probably Steve Sellers car from California. What happen to the Caddy?

Revhead
02-17-2004, 12:20 AM
some guy in sweden named Magnus bought the caddy. I'm not sure if it ever got shipped over there or not. It was one of those cars I wish I hadn't let go, but I need reliable transportation real bad.

Set up looks good. Wish I could have made it out.

Don't sweat it BoomBoom. You know you guys had the best setup.

Next year they will give it to the Big D little T's T-bird club. They have to swap off each year so it does'nt look rigged. I think they have a rivalry just like the Blood's and Crypts.

We were at the Autorama all weekend. Did anyone of you guys pass by the Killer Ridez booth? We had the frame to the '37 along with some wheels and shirts. We were in the same room as the Chups display.

My Fiance' seen a couple of girls Sunday afternoon with the Devil Bunny jackets walking around and was curious who they were? Any info on them? Devil Bunnies in general?

flt-blk

The Devil Bunnies are Whiskey and Jessica.
We blasted back from the Starbird show in Tulsa Sun morning.
