Chicago WoW move in

Hey Everybody,

Here's a few pics from the Chicago World of Wheels custom car show move in last Thursday night.

This wasn't the place to be for Traditional rides. There were a few. Still it was a cool place to hang out in the dead of winter.

This used to be quite a show in years past. Some shows lately are better than others. This years show did have some trick rides. There were more custom bikes than I can ever remember.There were many killer Street Rods, Pro Touring, Pro Street, Lowriders, and Trucks. I enjoyed nice paint jobs, body work, good friends and BEER! Still the car count was down, hardly any club participation. It still is all we have and it broke up this harsh winter until cruisin' and runs start this spring.

Last time I saw that light blue forty, it was running a clear distributor cap.
It was the coolest thing!!!

Nice pics. Didn't go ($15!! & only found 4 cars worthy of a photo!). I'm a little spoiled, I remember going to the amphitheater.

Hey Gregg,

Ah, The Cow Palace. Back in the day I remember everybody entering both shows and they were a month apart! Talk about a major thrash. It was great being young. I helped my buddies kid with his Mustang this past weekend and it plum wore me out.

By the way, I know your a former Southsider and Raceway Park fan. Did you know that Bud Koehler and Stash Kuhlman both passed on this past spring? Now those guys were REAL men.
