Seen a small backside shot of Roth's "lil Jewel" on the cover of 1960's Car carft issuee posted here last week. Does any one have any other pics of it.. With all the Roth fans on here I felt someone would have some other shots of it. I love the style and think that is the direction I am going to go with mine, maybe even build an updated version (mechanical that is)
Moriarity do you have the original stashed away somewhere ??? LOL

Boones,
There's a couple of pics of the lil jewel in the Ed Roth/Tony Thacker book, Hot Rods by Ed Big Daddy Roth.
Two pics- one rear shot and one front shot. I would imagine there are some pics of it too in the new Pat Gahnal book as well. I don't have a scanner or i'd scan em for ya. Evan

Picture that I had of it was in the Rodder's Journal story I did on Joe Barnett (#17) and in the new Roth book by Tornado.

Hey Boones, that was me that posted the cover. I'll scan the pages and post them here. I got hit with the flu and haven't felt like doing a whole lot lately! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Look for them a little later,

Boones. I dont have any online pics of it, but go get hold of the new "Art of Ed Big Daddy Roth" book. It has several really nice pics of Lil Jewel in its nicer green paintjob. It used to be red when Roth had it (dont know if Roth later did the green paintjob), but in my opinion it looks nicer also in the detailing when it was green.

That car is BEAUTIFUL. I have only seen one photo of it. I believe it was sitting with the cookie T and the Roth T bucket Tweety. Someone on the hamb built this killer model that is very representational of the Roth car.

wideglide, I got the pic of that model saved as it is also the style I am going for..
Now if I could just find some money for the front suspension.. maybe after Tax day..

That car was duplicated by Billy (Sideburns) Tomes, down at Aces & Eights (Braken Tx.). It then came out in a couple of magazines that were at the Round up last year. The car is at the shop getting finished up as we speak.
I am sure he can answer questions or shoot you some pics if you need it.
It is beautiful. And yes, I also feel it looks better in green.

I was about to post a thread asking for the same thing.
