Here's what I did this weekend...if anyone cares. Lowered the back of the '49 with 3" blocks. Went smoothly and quickly except the drill press decided to drop it's chuck. It's just press fit and I can't figure how to get it back on. Redid the parking lights. Wiring, contacts and 12v bulbs. Sanded alot. Started on the front end, to find the brakes are in great condition. Waiting on my kingpin set to finish it. Also went and looked at a '56 210 a guy had for sale. Daily driver and he was asking $1600. It was pretty nice but 4dr. Went back and snapped some pictures of a '58 that's for sale as well, but I can't get the guy to answer the phone http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Anyway here's some pictures

Don't have a pic of the drill and I'm back home now. I'll try thechalk next time I am down there. It is a small craftsman I think 1/4 hp..sounds right.. anyway thanks for the tips.

Dang, that's one productive on-topic weekend! That '58 looks like nice material, interior looks hella sweet.

Yeah they may be mid-70's camaro buckets but they fit pretty well in that car. Seat and all are in great shape too, just needs some trim and door panel work. Unless it sits there much longer with the window open, then it might need it all.
