Hello fellow HAMBERS.
I am looking for locals, (SoWhat, Sawzall, Spike, etc) email addresses to have a pre-show get together/party at my house before the spring Hoedown. I am not sure what the date will be but I am trying to get the ball rolling to stay on top of it. I am in Kennett Square, PA so I am close to Kahunaville for a good time before the madness. Plus, it is party for my car (54 Pontiac) which is finally making an appearance on the road after 2+ years.
Anyone interested send me some contact info and I will get the ball rolling on this end.
SoWhat or Sawzall, we met at Turkey Rod Run with the guy with the 58 Chebbie that I always forget his name.
Spike, I will be calling you.
Talk to you soon.
Larry

Thanks Don.
Sorry. I have never been good with names. How's FLA? Finding any cars nestled away?
I think this should be a good spot because I am close to Philly, South Jersey, Lancaster, Baltimore, and Delaware. Hopefully this will happen in April.
And hopefully it won't rain every weekend like last year.
Larry
i usually have a party the night before that show.. so step off. just kidding, but if yer gig falls through stop by my place. hot chicks, drugs and beer. thats how i do it!

Jeff,
I have been thinking about having it in April instead of the night before. I htink it will kill another weekend before the shows begin. It can also get the word around as to who need help getting their rides on the road for the season.
How's the A-bone going? Can't wait to see it.

Great to hear from you Spike.
I thought it might be a good time for everyone to get together before the season. If someone need a hand to get back on the road, or just see how everyone is coping with the weather.
I am thinking sometime in April, or early March would be ideal. I'll give you a call and we can talk about it.
Have you been back to the yard by the Herr's factory?

Me and my wife will be going to Road Agents.
Spike - I have plenty of room in a pretty central locale.
Only a few minutes from you.
This might be a nice reliability run for Maryland Klubs, Jersey Klubs, etc. I have plenty of room and the grill will be firing. It will just be nice to have everyone hanging out and having a good time.
Nice to hear from you Haring. How's the bike coming?
Talk to you soon

Hey everyone...just a thought but...The shop i am involved in opening up will be done by then..if anyone is into it i would be more than willing to have a pre-hoedown bbq/open house/mini car show type thing...and there is a bowling alley right across the street http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Could make it a stop before heading to Kustom Chiefs place..just an idea

RatPack, tell us about your shop. What are your plans for the business? I checked out the web address and saw thaat you guys are getting started and will offer hot rod and import stuff.

Me,my brother and a friend are opening up a small shop inside of one of my Dad's strores (basic auto parts store). The idea is to have a shop that sells traditional parts without all the muscle car parts. We have an account with mooneyes, so-cal, Isky cam, and a couple of other suppliers. We all agreed that the area we are in we needed to supply SOME import parts as bread and butter. I know we are treading a fine line with having both types together but i think that it could possibly work. So-Cal is now involved with some import stuff. None of us are in it to become millionaires..we just want to be able to have a place where guys like all the HAMBers can come and pick up a moon tank or something without having to deal with mail order, internet, etc...If anyone has any suggestions on what they would like to see us carry PLEASE let me know. You guys are the ones i want coming in there. I am talking with the bowling alley across the street about having a car show in late july..which i think would be pretty fun

Rat, sounds cool. I don't fault you for wanting to carry some tuner parts. That's a necessity to make some money. I'll be curious to check it out when you guys are up and running -- and it's cool that it's part of your dad's auto parts store.

I think by next week we should have a date hammered down to shoot for. I know that Carlisle falls on one of the weeks. Hopefully the rain will not be like last year or we should be building kustom arcs.
