This is an old pic from a couple of weeks ago, since then I've butchered the firewall a little and scooted the body ahead so the firewall is about an inch from the distributor.

Couple more. Now I've got the stock rear cut off and a 2x3 rear x-member in it's place so I can run the spring behind the axle

Cool MP33! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Hey, don't sweat the shady pics - I'm glad there's someone else besides me who is photographically-challenged! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Regards, Dave.

Slazzen,
The Z added 5 inches to the frame. After I set the engine in and positioned it where I wanted it I cut out the firewall and slid the body up to the back of the engine. I then knotched out the wheelwell in the stock location and slid my rearend housing in. I then measured back 7" and thats where I put my rear X-member.
My wheelbase is about 108"
Here's a pic of the tubing

Here's a kwik sketch on how I figured it out, The angle is pretty fricken close to 45 degrees
