I need some pics to help me out designin my front end. I'm worried after I notch the frame(for the spring)that the axle will hit the frame horns when bottomed out and only have a couple of inches of suspension travel. Maybe I shouldn't notch thr frame for the spring but for the axle?

Search the archives for "Suicide".
You'll find at least a couple dozen pics.
Then cut the frame horns off.
Here's a pic from my front end.

Clark: What are the shocks from ?
They're off the back of an MG. I like em.

So they shouldn't be too hard to find ?
Or too expensive ?

Ian, actually I want to keep the frame horns. Clark, how much room do you have between the axle and the light bar, is there frame under there?

Unk ...we can get them in rebuilt condition from the local MG guy for a hundred bucks. I got mine a Carlisle for $75.
Greasy..We left the frame horns on Larry's pick up. We mounted the spring in the "A" crossmember but cut a notch in the frame horns for the axle to travel up into.
There's a peice of tubing that runs from side to side above the axle. My Radiator sits on top of that.
Here's a shot from the front sorry if it's not too clear. I would say there's between 3 and 4 inches of space from the axle to the tubing above it
