Some of you guys might remember the pictures I posted of the tether car collection I stumbled upon locally. The same guy owns quite a few 60's Ferraris and some significant hot rods (like the Moomjean 32 roadster).
Anyway, he just aquired Gene Olson's 51 Merc that So Cal used as a poster child for a while. I was blown away at the finish on that car.. Here's some links to articles about it, and a few of the pictures I took yesterday.

I saw the Moonjeem 32 at the LA Roadster show a few years back. It is a time capsule.

I dig the Mercury too......
