can 49-54 chevy truck spindles be used on an axle that calls for 49-54 chevy spindles? or do they have to be car spindles? is there a difference between to the two?

We went the other way and used 54 pass. car spindles on a 54 Chevy truck

I went with a Speedway axle that called for 49-54 chevy pass. spindle. Was told, don't know first hand, truck spindles set at a different angle than cars, and the tires would angle in at the top if I used the truck spindles, or was it out, one or the other.
