Ford Tranny Gear Raitos...

How do I know what the gear ratios are for a 3spd toploader out of a 67 Ranchero? The sites I've found list 2 different 3 speed toploaders, one with a 2.99 first and a 1.75 second and the other one has a 2.42 first and a 1.61 second. Am I correct to assume that the 2.99/1.75 would be the truck tranny? Did they consider the Ranchero a truck?

The 2.83 is a 6cyl tranny and the 3.03 is for V8s. Rancheros were chopped Falcon station wagons in '67 so that counts as passenger.

HMM, I couldn't find either of those ratios on the 2 sites I found, just the ones I listed, the 2.99 and the 2.42. But the sites didn't have dates either, just listed as Toploader with no 4th gear.
