I painted this 8x8 Panton piece about a year ago. I painted it intending to hang it as public art at an abandoned inner city gas station. When it was completed I really liked it and found it complimentary to my space so I kept it. Fast forward a year and I decided to give up the bachelor lifestyle and pack up the mod pod. Last sunday nite my Girl and I packed it into a 1 ton cube van and headed out into the dark to hang it on an abandoned store not far from home. It defienatly brightened up the decrepit old store front. As we where hanging it in the middle of the nigh a cop pulled up and slowly turned the corner, we thought we where finished but he never came back...

i'd hoped to have this DONE by today but it did'nt work out. it's an insert for an old model A grill shell i had hangin on the wall. someone had hacked the sides of the shell at the bottom at some point so i sectioned it 3" to fix it. this will go inside. then i'm afraid it will go on Ebay cause i need the money http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif. sucks cause i'm really liking it and it's ALOT of work. it'd be great just for hangin on the wall, or some greaser might want to put it on his "Rat Rod".
anyway, enjoy my underconstruction artwork....

Dont want to insult you artists by calling this art cause all it is is just cutting and pasting from other sources. Awhile ago the kids designed the Pair-A-Dice Speed Shop logo and I think it turned out pretty cool. Here is a new effort of ours, the Black Jack logo. I wanna post it here not so much as art but so I can get some advise from the artists here as to how to improve it. Thanks-

Dan...here are my 2 cents (and keep that in mind)
Keep the fonts in the same likness and maybe a little pinstriping around the spade. Also you could play with the negitive and positive space a wee bit more.

It never cease to amaze me the stuff you gals and guys do, I feel very priveleged to be able to see such work from the other side of the world.
Ok here is a few things. The first is my gas pump, this is actually an Aussie pump, but I made a more stylish body and just used my imagination for paint and letting design, but it had to have a Gilmore glode (ps I ain't no sign painter) Next is a Harley I did last weekend, the other 2 area a couple of panels I did last week. One shot on cardboard, I like the affect of the paint absorbing into the cardboard.

hot tip: if you can figure out how to lock your digital camera's shutter speed at 60 (1/60) or slower, you'll get more blur on the road surface at that speed. shutter priority is what they'd call it in the manual. or use the landscape setting..

Shortbus you are one of my hero's and so is Steve Conan. Here is a picture I took this morning and ran to school and used the Dark Room. This was taken with my first homemade pin-hole camera. I was using a paper negative. This is a 7min exposure time. Not to bad for a pin-hole camera super ultra wide angle. The "Camera was only 10 inches away from the front headlight.
Its my Apache Truck.

I haven't been around here much lately, so I don't know if this has already been posted. i really wish i had a fraction of the artistic talent that shows up on this board.
while cleaning out the shop this morning i came across these cans of one shot, i had bought them a few years ago to have a guy do some lettering on a race car that i was helping restore.i popped the lids on a couple and they look fine. some have never been opened.
i would like to give these to somebody that could use them, rather than have them laying around my shop, so........
the first person to PM me their mailing addy can have em, i will ship them out no later than tuesday
thanks for the art.

You can buy a new Series 20 for about $12.00 from Mack.
You won't learn anything with a shitty brush.

Thanks guys.. I "tried" to buy one off a site, place was located in canada. Sent them 15, 12 for the brush and 3 to ship... That was in october, and i havnt gottn the brush yet... So I probably got scamed, or they lost the money order in the mail...
I have been trying to stay away from online companys, so i thought to give HAMB a try. thanks Elvis, im gonna try the NJ place..
Rat Rodder,
Lemme know how you make out. I have a paint shop that delivers to the shop i work at. If you don't come up with some, let me know exactly what you want, i'll find out how much for ya. If you still want them, i'll get em for ya.

Thanks to elvis, i found a place that sells them about 30 minutes away... Still not sure if i can take a ride down there to pick them up, or if i have to send them cash and they mail it.. The one i picked out is 000 fine, costing a bit more, but it looks 5 times better than the cheeper MACK..
Thanks Tony, for your help!

While we're on the subject, do any BC HAMBers know of anywhere local (Vancouver/Lower Mainland) that sells Mack? Opus in Langley sells a brush called the Dagger by Davinci brushes but I've never heard any info, good or bad about them.
Thanks,
Bill
