Jest got my trend setter and low and behold "pick a show and go" has the Ft Smith show listed for the 27,28,29 of August. Tried to get a room at the host motel and they are already booked solid. This is the closest kkoa show to me only 4.5 hours so its a definite hope to see the local hamb'ers there.

This show used to be THE show everybody in the region looked forward to. I've been many times. Met many lifelong friends there. Toward the end, if you remembered the show, you weren't there. Many beers were consumed. Many watermelons were set on fire. The flamethrower shows were very impressive!!! I highly recommend you go. There's a motel 6 or super 8 or something right next door, call them.

This is kick ass....I live in Ft. Smith of all places, who ever is coming let me know and we can get together. I have been waiting for the show to come back, it was just too good to not happen anymore. Does it say where it will happen...same place (Kay Rogers Park) or different? hopefully I will have a running car by then http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif.

ok, whether they like it or not, the folks down at the tent factory are gonna have to do without me that weekend....goin home to see mom and dad for that one...

My old show! the one my CLUB (river valley kustoms) used to host! will it be like the old times? runnin around what USED to be the kings row in after hours raisin' hell?

anyone remember the thunderstorm and the lightning that blew out the McDonalds sign in 99?

here is a pic I took that year....it is on Mart's site...

http://www.flatheadv8.freeserve.co.uk/light.jpg

there was a fellow hamb'er who said that he was the guy standin there in the black shirt....it's not one of my best photos, but it IS my first lightnig pic....

below that photo on his site is the car I drove that year...light blue with flamethrower exhaust....same car I drove to Davenport IA from Ozark AR in july of '98...

ahhhhhhh, the splashin nudies in the pool, the antics involving a certain Barber's chevy with certain DFW people on wheeled office chairs from the rooms in tow (got a pic of that on MY site (http://www.geocities.com/bondo_king_jim/stuff2do.html) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

If I had known this was gonna happen, I wouldnt have moved so far away......sheesh

HOLY SHIT!!! I can't believe I forgot about the office chairs!!! Man, I'da loved to see the look on the managers face when the guests for the next weekend called the desk to say their chairs had no rollers. I betcha those bitches are bolted to the floor this year. It's really amazing that nobody got killed that year. And the lightning storm!!! Sumpthin else! Good times.

That was a kick ass show. My buddies 58 ford was behind the office chairs to catch em if they fell off at one point. I remember jesse falling off and getting bashed up. Also that 57 ford with the 500 caddy in it doing burnouts in the parking lot. I believe that was jesse's to. Glad its back I'll damn sure be there.

Damn it! The only memories of Hangin' Dice I have are riding in Rick Knight's Batmobile, at about 120mph! I was about 9 or 10 years old. I'm gonna be there this year if I have to crawl on my knees, so it better be like what all you old timers say it was like! Or this is gonna be one disappointed miget!!

I'd be cool if he is. He's a great guy and tries to listen to others to make the shows better. I like the show in dewey.
