Here's the '47 project that so many HAMBr's have donated parts to. Now Emilio's on the board (Fleetline) and very apreciative of everyone's generousity.

Well, that's where the project is at. His dad left him with a good start to the project and now that he's gone, we'll finish it up. Thanks alot for all the parts and offers to help, thanks to the HAMB, he'll be driving it in no time.

thanks JSM56, but they've always helped us out and I was going to do it even before all this happened. Hey, any of you guys out there able to fabricate a firewall and help save a little money?

The car looks really good! As for the rust, I have a 35 that has the same type of rust-out and I am about ready to take some of the body panels in to the flame spray facility to have the rust holes filled in. The process is pretty straightforward and the results are nothing short of amazing. I will post some pics when I have it done early in Feb...

Got them rat rodder. Hey, is the tank curved to fit inside the rounded edges of the rear of the frame or does it sit in front of them?

Cool James, just looked at your website. Cool drawings. I like the cartoony look of the '37 ford drawing. The normal drawing of it's cool too, but the cartoony one's awesome. We may have a wheel style change coming, Emilio has to make up his mind, but I'll let you know. Boyd Coddington Jr. from Weld wheels is donating a set of wheels to the project, Emilio just has to pick them out. Can you believe how generous car guys are. Thanks again to everyone.

Just thought I'd update you on progress. Some older guys that were friends of Emilio's dad came by last night and thought that we should make the k-member bolt in rather than riveted in like it was. They thought it would be good in case he ever needed to remove the tranny down the line. So, I picked Emilio up from school this afternoon and we got the damn thing out. What a pain in the butt! Oh well, it's out now and he's working to clean up the holes so he can bolt it back in.

The car's got the body back on and the engine's sitting in it. Oh yeah, there's a big old hole in the firewall right now, so the engine will fit. That will be fixed soon. We would've gotten the motor mounted in there, but the stupid bolt in motor mounts from RB's didn't fit. Now we have to cut them apart and make our own. I haven't been impressed with any of their products we have used. I think Emilio was excited to get his car looking like a car again. I'll grab the digital camera and take some pictures on monday.

Here's the update. The engine's mounted and so's the transmission. We took the body off again to make the tranny mount. There's a big old hole in the firewall so we could fit the engine, but that will be taken care of soon.

Thanks Pork N Beaner, but I was going to help before all of this happened. The people who really need to be thanked are all of the HAMBrs who offered up parts and who are helping Emilio with his questions. Thanks to all of you!
