Chicago DAY AT THE SLOTS update/ planning thread

First off, mil apologias for dropping the ball on the midwinter slot car thing (I have been battling a series of very unpleasant shitstorms over the past few months), but I'm offering to pick it up again.

Here's my proposal, subject to change/amendments:

H.A.M.B. DAY AT THE SLOTS

Date: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28
Time: TBA (one hour of track time)
Location: DAD'S SLOT CARS, 700 LEE STREET, DES PLAINES, IL

Entry fees:

PRO CLASS (bring your own car and/or controller) $10
PUSSY CLASS (use the rental cars / controllers) $15
SPECTATORS $5

All gate revenue above track expenses split as follows:

25% - cash first prize for fastest Pro Class
25% - cash first prize for purtiest Pro Class
50% - donated to HAMB

Greezy - they run both 1/24 and 1/32.

Here's a quick overview of their package prices:

Package #1: Eight cars, single track $125 for one hour. Price includes eight cars and controllers.

Package #2: Two tracks, $225 for one hour. Includes 16 cars & controllers. Basically, that's run of the place for an hour.

I asked the proprieter if they would discount groups who would be bringing their own cars and/or controllers, no such luck.

Rules? We don't need no steenking rules. Run whatcha brung, and if you can't brung anything, there will be house cars and controllers. If you bring your own rig, you will get an entry discount and are eligible for prize money.

I volunteer to ante up for the parlor deposit, but I want to get a headcount on how many people are gonna be there if I reserve for the 28th, so I know how many tracks to get - so far I got
