Pic in profile????

I can`t seem to upload a pic to my profile.My old one is gone and this one is well under 80X80 Pixels.Tried uploading it from my puter and tried uploading it from a website,can`t seem to get it to work,What am I doing wrong??

I'm about ready to give up mo matter what I do I can't get a pic to show up for my little pic under my name and I have tried lots of different ones, can anyone tell me how to do it I tried in the FAQ page but that didn't work!!

If you don't have any Webspace that allows "Hot-Linking" you will have to upload an image to the HAMB. The image needs to be no larger than 80x80 pixels and the file size no larger than 1K to upload to the HAMB. Photoshop 7 can accomplish this. ( I have done this for other HAMB'ers, including skull63)
Click on MY HOME at the top of this page and scroll down to "personal information" and click on EDIT to the right. Near the bottom of the page is where you either upload the image OR provide a link to the image posted on the Web.

And notice the bottom of this page. It says "html is disabled". That means the html code to put an image in your post won't work on this forum, but it will work in the HAMB forum.

you can have larger sized files if you have them stored on another site. You're still limited to 80x80 though

Dont bite off more than you can chew. just kidding. What i do is, right click on the pic, then click "edit" then in Paint, i go to "image" then "strech/skew" then on my pics i take em down like 50%. Hope i am of some help.

First, resize the image so it's no bigger than 80x80, then (depending on the software you're using) you should be able to save it as a jpg. In the options for saving as a jpg, it should allow you to select the "quality" or compression of the final picture. The lower the quality, the lower the byte count.

Ok voodoo... ya just about got it. it's the right size and the byte count is small enough. You're imbedding it in your post however. If you want to put in in the left column, under your name, click on My Home above go down to where it says Personal Info and click on edit. Look and it will have a place where you can upload the pic. Browse to the pic on you computer, select it and hit submit and you should be golden.

You need to copy everything before this in the address, including this part then add .jpg and none of the rest. The just put the "tags" on each end and you'll be good to go

I think it was because it was an .art file. I'm not sure though, not really up on all the files, I just know I had to change it to a .bmp before I could upload it to star. So all you have to do is copy this address

hit "edit"
scroll all the way down to you see "URL to your picture"
PASTE the address that you copied from above there, and you should be good to go.

My picture has disappeared and I can't get mine to show up now. Its still at star blvd and mine was already typed in like Denise has suggested. What made the picture disappear in the first place?

Problems now with Star. I haven't been able to post a photo in about 24 hours. I've been trying to figure a way around it but it looks like they might no longer allow photo hosting from their site. I kind of figured it was only a matter of time before they shut it off. I'll keep trying.

Anyone have any ideas around this or other FREE photo hosting sites that they use?
